Yet another Ron Paul endorsee has gone turncoat at the last minute and endorsed the ultimate flip-flopping globalist, Willard Mitt Romney, for president.
The dictionary defines sycophant as "a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite." By now, who isn't cynical about all political candidates? Kurt Bills, a Republican Minnesota State Rep who's running for U.S. Senate, first won state office in 2011 and received massive support from Ron Paul and "LibertyPAC" when he ran for the U.S. Senate in the primary election.
Yet only one week after winning the August 14th Republican primary, which Bills had characterized as "a contest between the Tea Party/Ron Paul wing of the Minnesota Republican Party and their establishment opponents", the former government school "social studies" teacher has embraced that very establishment.
Bills "wholeheartedly embraced" the Romney-Ryan ticket in his August 23rd press release, stating in part,
"Republicans of all stripes must stand together. We cannot afford to squabble, and mustn't equivocate. We need to unite -standing on our shared principles- to win in November. That's why I'm declaring my unequivocal support for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. After a hard-fought Republican primary, they alone have the ability to beat Barack Obama in November and help America rediscover its conservative principles."
Taking a cue from Ron Paul's son, Bills noted that he had "always maintained that he would support the eventual nominee of the Party." Rand gave the same excuses when faced with angry reaction over his Romney endorsement in June. The only difference here is that Rand had already taken office at the time of his Romney endorsement. Hopefully, Bills betrayal will prevent him from winning at all and will teach a lesson to future potential sellouts.
Bills, who called "for party unity", faces incumbent Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar in November. CBS Minnesota reports that "Bills faces a tough fight against Klobuchar, who enjoys much greater name recognition and has raised millions more."
Ron Paul sent numerous e-mails 'Paid for by Liberty PAC' praising Bills prior to the Romney endorsement, repeatedly claiming that Bills was "one of our own". On May 18th, 2012, Paul wrote "Just moments ago, at the Minnesota State Convention, one of "our own" - Kurt Bills - won the support of the Minnesota Republican Party in his bid for the U.S. Senate! That's truly great news. But it means our work is just beginning! .... So please, dig deep and help another patriot by donating to Kurt's campaign right away."
On June 30th, Paul wrote "Kurt Bills is my top pick this year for United States Senate, and today is important...Please consider chipping in right now and, as always, thank you for your support."
In an August 8th e-mail titled 'THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS', Paul wrote "Just watch this disgusting attack Kurt's opponent is running on FOX News in Minnesota during Sean Hannity's Show and The O'Reilly Factor. People like Kurt's opponent don't care about your Liberty. They just want power for themselves, and they will stop at nothing to get it. Fortunately, when Liberty is attacked, people like you stand up. I hope you are as outraged by this disgusting ad as I am. Let's flood Kurt Bills with donations so he can get his positive message of sound money, limited government, and balanced budgets out to the voters....Please consider making a contribution of $50, $100, $250, or even the federal maximum contribution of $2,500 today. Remember, Kurt is being attacked for standing with you and me. Let's stand with him and give him the money he needs to fight."
Many posters over at the DailyPaul were not happy with Bill's flip-flop. Another alleged Liberty Congressman, will endorse Mitt Romney after the GOP Convention, according to Gary Franchi at RTR.org. Amash, a purported non-interventionist, voted to pledge $9 billion dollars in loan guarantees to Israel this past May.
These sell-out traitors who wave the banner of liberty only to concede to the evil establishment should be called out for what they are: toady, lackey, brownnoser, sycophant, sweet talker, toady, apple-polisher, ass-kisser, backscratcher, backslapper, bootlicker, doter, fawner, flatterer, flunkey, kiss-ass, kowtower, minion, teacher's pet, yes-man, yes-person, flatterer, attendant, butler, domestic, doormat, drudge, factotum, retainer, steward, subordinate, , underling, valet, yes-person.
That about covers it.
