Prayers and Wishes To 'Playmate in the Sky' for Mike's Recovery From Aggressive Pneumonia

Mike Rivero of has taken a few days off from his radio show. Yesterday he said he was going to a medical clinic for a bug he couldn't shake, but today he announced:
UPDATE: I am in the hospital being treated for am aggressive viral pneumonia . Expect to be discharged Sunday but am having my netbook brought over so I can update the website later today.
I'm sure all his loyal listeners/readers hope for the best, and a speedy recovery. We're sending prayers and well wishes your way Mike. Take good care of yourself so that you can keep up the fight. We need you in this battle for liberty and justice.

The title of this post is obviously a bit tongue in cheek, poking fun at the vast differences among Mike and many of his listeners. I am deeply rooted in my Catholic faith but at the same time, I am honored to work with Mike and people of all faiths (and even those with none) for justice and the common good. I believe it is our moral obligation to fight evil and oppression in the world, and to work for good with others who have differing beliefs. As Pope Francis recently stated "And we all have a duty to do good. And this commandment for everyone to do good, I think, is a beautiful path towards peace. If we, each doing our own part, if we do good to others, if we meet there, doing good, and we go slowly, gently, little by little, we will make that culture of encounter: we need that so much. We must meet one another doing good. 'But I don't believe, Father, I am an atheist!' But do good: we will meet one another there."

Prayer for the sick from St. Augustine:
Watch, O Lord
Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love's sake. Amen.

Catholic Prayer For The Sick:
Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant [Name] for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
