"We have no greater obligation than to protect our children from trauma and abuse" - Senator Chris Coons

Below is a link to the video of Senator Chris Coons defending Vice President Joe Biden's treament of his daugther after Biden swore Coons in to his first full term as Senator on January 6th. Coons had actually taken Biden's place in the Senate when Biden became VP. The video of Biden and 13 year old Maggie Coons had gone viral after people thought the whole situation was very awkward, smarmy, and creepy. To view the short version, fast forward to 1:40. Biden is posing for a photo then grabs the daughter, tries to kiss her as she pulls away, whispers in her ear and you can see the girl's mom, visibly uncomfortabe with the situation, pat Biden on the arm several times as if to say "okay, let's get going."

It's no small irony that on his senate website, Senator Coons says "We have no greater obligation than to protect our children from trauma and abuse." Even more ironic is that in that very same article, Joe Biden's son Beau Biden, who serves as Delaware's Attorney General, says "Nothing is more important than protecting children." Here is the video of the incident with the 13 year old:

A FOX news host asked Coons about the incident Sunday:

WALLACE: In the few seconds we have left, Senator Coons, excuse me, you were sworn in for a term and congratulations, this week, and you can see there in this video went viral of Joe Biden whispering in your daughter Maggie's ear and then giving her a kiss. A lot of people thought she looked very uncomfortable. What was he saying to her? And I have to ask, because a lot of people been speculating about it, does she think the vice president is creepy?

COONS: No, Chris, she doesn't think the vice president is creepy. He's known my kids their whole lives. Joe was just being thoughtful. He was leaning forward -- I could hear him, he was leaning forward and whispering some encouragement to her about how when he was worn in and his own daughter Ashley was 13, she felt awkward and uncomfortable and he was encouraging her about how to get through day with lots of cameras and lots of folks watching. He was being Joe, he was being thoughtful and he was being sweet.

WALLACE: How did she feel about being such a media star?

COONS: I think she's pleasantly surprised that more people have heard of her than have heard of me.

WALLACE: Well, there you go.

Here is the video of Coons defending Biden; Fast forward to minute 38.
here is a link to the audio (January 11th program.)
Here is the direct MP3 link of the same program, fast forward to minute 38.

FYI, Chris Coons is another Israel-firster Zionist posing as a representative of the Amerian people of Delaware: "Defending freedom, democracy, and security in the Middle East. Senator Coons believes the U.S. must play a leadership role partnering with people seeking freedom and democracy around the world, including in the Middle East. He deeply values our strong and abiding partnership with Israel, and believes the U.S. must do everything in its power to defend U.S. security interests in the region. He is focused on ensuring Iran does not develop a nuclear weapon capability, and defending the Syrian people against the unconscionable onslaught of violence perpetrated by the Assad regime."

Wikipedia notes:
  • Christopher Andrew "Chris" Coons (born September 9, 1963) is the junior United States Senator from Delaware and a member of the Democratic Party. He won a special election in 2010 to succeed Joe Biden, who had resigned to become Vice President.
Personal life- Coons is married to the former Annie Lingenfelter. They have three children: Mike, Maggie and Jack. They live in Wilmington, Delaware. Although Coons is Presbyterian, his wife is Catholic, and they attend St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wilmington. Coons describes himself as "someone who is, privately, fairly religious," though he has never thought "that needs to be a big part of [campaigning]."
  • The Affordable Care Act (commonly called Obamacare) had already been passed when Coons took office, but he has voted against repealing it, emphasizing that seniors in Delaware would have to pay higher prescription drug prices if it was repealed. On the issue of abortion, Coons has received a 100% rating from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and 0% rating from the National Right to Life Committee.
  • On December 11, 2013, Coons introduced the Victims of Child Abuse Act Reauthorization Act of 2013 (S. 1799; 113th Congress), a bill that would reauthorize the Victims of Child Abuse Act of 1990 and would authorize funding through 2018 to help child abuse victims. Coons said that "we have a responsibility to protect our children from violence and abuse."
  • He worked on several political campaigns in his early career, including Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign. In college he switched from being a Republican to a Democrat, and in 1996 he became a delegate from Wilmington to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

  • Coons Senate website states "Though legislation in support of equality indifferent to sexual orientation or gender identity is moving slowly, Senator Coons recruited 12 of his colleagues for a stirring video that urged LGBT youth to remember 'it gets better.' A longtime New Castle County resident, Chris grew up in the Pike Creek and Hockessin areas and lives in Wilmington with his wife, Annie, and their three children, Michael, Jack, and Maggie."

Coons statement about his swearing in was as follows: "It was an honor to be sworn in to serve Delaware for the next six years," Senator Coons said. "I'm grateful for the chance to work with my colleagues in the Senate - Republicans and Democrats - to try to find common ground. I'm hopeful that in the years ahead, we can pass real solutions that help create jobs, that create better opportunities for the middle class, that help get people back to work fixing our roads and ports, and that invest more in American innovation and education. I know there are real differences between Republicans and Democrats, but I'm going to work hard to make progress on the things that will make a difference in the lives of Delawareans."

Coons supports "biting sanctions" on Iran: "With the security of the United States, Israel, and our allies on the line in the P5+1 negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, I believe that no deal is better than a bad deal. In any agreement, Iran must fully submit to intrusive inspections of its illicit nuclear program, fully disclose its past military work, and dismantle any capacity to develop and build a nuclear weapon in the future...."Congress has enacted and the Administration has effectively implemented biting sanctions and sustained diplomatic efforts that ultimately brought Iran to the negotiating table. I am ready to support the Administration's efforts to conclude a strong deal

When bin Laden was allegedly killed on 5/2/11, Coons said: "This is a momentous development for our country. For nearly 10 years, America and its allies around the world have fought to stop the terrorism of al Qaeda and its leader, Osama bin Laden. President Obama's announcement tonight that bin Laden has been killed is a tribute to the hard, dedicated work of our armed forces. I hope his death will both make the world safer and speed the day when our troops can return home."

Carpool lanes in Southern California, which were paid for years ago by taxpayers, are now being turned into toll roads to fleece the people. Orange County, CA alone was issuing 15,000 photo citations PER DAY after motorists were confused about the new system.
