LATEST ON THE JACK YANTIS CASE FROM LibertyFight.com:
This past Monday November 9th, LibertyFight.com broke the story revealing that the Idaho Sheriffs that slaughtered 62-year-old rancher Jack Yantis were trained by the U.S. Deptartment of Homeland Security. Deputies were required to complete numerous DHS courses, both online and in-person training.
Newfound information reveals even more details: Zollman's deputies attended 'Active Shooters Training sessions' paid for by DHS!
Page 10 of the Adams County Record dated Wednesday, June 19, 2013 states, in part:
"Sheriff Ryan Zollman gave a short report on the operations in his department. He has twenty-five guest inmates this week in the jail. He has accepted the two new patrol vehicles - watch for the dark blue Ford Pickups that will be added to our patrol fleet. The new vehicles both come with two-year warranties, or for the first 36,000 miles. Two older vehicles were traded in to the dealer at the time these pickups were purchased. Four deputies attended an Active Shooters Training session last week. Their fees and tuition were picked up by the Department of Homeland Security."" [LINK.]
Ironically, in a case of spooky foreshadowing, an advertisement for cemetery headstone company appears directly below the DHS 'active shooter training' news.
The newspaper issue also mentioned three rodeo board members, including Heather Paradis. Mike Paradis is a relative of Jack Yantis and Rowdy Paradis, Jacks newphew, witnessed the sheriffs kill Jack Yantis. [See Relative of Murdered Rancher Jack Yantis Serves in Local Adams County, Idaho Government.]
In 2014, an official DHS 'use of force' report admitted that Agent's "shots at suspect vehicles are taken out of frustration" involving "non-violent suspects who posed no threat". This is the kind of people and 'DHS training' that we are dealing with. To make matters worse, DHS is trained by the anti-defamation league. The ADL boasts about it on their own website!
Below we will cover many more examples of Sheriff Ryan Zollman's involvement with the federal Dept of Homeland Security. This guy is really a piece of work. Aside from playing the victim for the press claiming that he and his family have received death threats after the Jack Yantis killing, Zollman has a very smarmy history. [By the way, has Zollman made a single arrest for these alleged threats? If not, why not? I don't buy it. E-mail and phone threats are easily traced and prosecuted.]
Happily ridding citizens of pesky trials and juries, on-line mapping of traffic stops with DHS cash, zealous drug warrior activity, seizing and selling citizen's guns, and filling jails with more inmates via the 'drug war' to give his deputies raises are all part of Ryan Zollman's admitted record.
"Lt. Ryan Zollman advised the Council to change several city ordinances from misdemeanors to infractions. Prosecution of a misdemeanor can cost more than the fine brings in, while infractions are handled without a trial or jury and so are simpler and less expensive to process," stated one news report covering a meeting .
At another meeting, Zollman replied 'strongly' to a citizen who objected to the use of drug-sniffing dogs in the small town. "Will we continue to use the dogs in such a manner? Absolutely; that's what we've got them for," Zollman replied.
The DHS training apparently teaches American law enforcement officers to treat American citizens the same way that Israelis treat Palestinians. This is well documented with the plethora of trigger-happy police and a seemingly endless list of senseless murders in recent years. In 2013, Infowars.com reported that "A provider of "realistic" shooting targets to the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies has created a line of "non-traditional threat" targets that include pregnant women, mothers in playgrounds and elderly American gun owners." [See DHS Supplier Provides Shooting Targets of American Gun Owners and DHS Contractor Apologizes For Selling Shooting Targets of Children.]
Paul Joseph Watson reported "As you can hear in the YouTube clip above, Blaine Cooper enquired about the company's "no hesitation" targets, which also feature children, elderly gun owners and mothers in playgrounds, and was told that the target showing a pregnant woman was a "requested law enforcement target for training." [Law Enforcement “Requested” Shooting Targets of Pregnant Women.]
Officer Robert Roche, who threw a tear-gas canister into a crowd of people who were helping Olsen after he was shot, got his job back soon afterwards. Olsen responded to news of Roche's reinstatement by saying the cop was a "serial killer" and "clearly a sadistic person". Roche has committed three fatal shootings while on duty as an Oakland officer, all of which were justified by the department.
Here is another example of Ryan Zollman's relationship with DHS, with Zollman and DHS in cahoots regarding electronic traffic tickets:
Traffic tickets go digital -The Adams County Commissioners accepted Sheriff Ryan Zollman's proposal to convert ticket writing in the county to an E Ticket system. The system has been developed by FATPAW Systems, a Utah company, and is used successfully by Madison County in Southeastern Idaho, and also by Garden City in Ada County. The local system will require conversion to eight minicomputers, which will allow for writing tickets in a digital form. The ticket information will be uploaded whenever the patrolman reaches a wifi location in the county. The Sheriff's department will use Homeland Security funding for much of the system cost because it will also allow for on-line mapping for traffic stops throughout the county. There will be a one-time cost of $6,000 for the system, which will be offset by savings in time and in eliminating paper ticket forms. Ticketed parties will be able to review their charges on-line with the new system that will be installed later this year.
Here is yet another, with DHS paying for more stuff: from October 23, 2013:
"Sheriff Ryan Zollman has permission to relocate the 911 equipment from Brundage to the Valley County site located at No. Business Lookout. The move saves Adams County $2,000 annually, and Homeland Security funds will pay for the moving expenses. The jail housed twenty-seven guest inmates this past week. This is the second month that fees paid for guest inmates will exceed $30,000. Sheriff Zollman was able to give raises to the jailers and patrolmen in the 2014 budget. ollman hopes that the higher wages, plus the fact that he is emphasizing local hires, will slow down turnover in the department. [View the issue here.]
Here, Zollman happily rids citizens of pesky trials and juries, in order to fleece money out of them easier.:

In this article which explains the gun seizure controversy in Adams County, sheriffs and a judge greedily covet the guns seized from citizens, before they are even offered for sale!
Not too long ago there was a drug bust near Council in which 41 guns were confiscated. They were eventually turned over to Ludwig at Council Valley Market to sell. Even as the guns were being brought to Ludwig, deputies and a judge were looking them over and picking out the ones they wanted to buy. Ludwig made them stop, and told them he had to go through the process of recording serial numbers and documenting each gun before they could be sold. After the proper documentation was finished, the same people came back and bought a number of guns. And again, the public was either poorly notified, or not notified at all, that these guns were for sale. For the most part, only insiders (deputies, judges, etc.) knew about them. [LINK.]
When Zollman was running for Sheriff, he revealed his true colors at a candidate forum, expressing his enthusiasm for the 'war on drugs.' Of course being a strong proponent of the drug war means Zollman and his deputies have the pretext to seize property, apply for endless DHS grants, fill the jals with non violent offenders, thereby giving his deputies and jailers raises! Zollman told the crowd "he has his own ideas on how to run things." His own ideas indeed!
Ryan Zollman said: "The sheriff has the authority to enforce all state laws. The federal agents do not. The sheriff's office can enforce some federal laws, but not all. An example is immigration laws--287G, which has been removed thanks to Sheriff Arpaio too aggressively approaching that. That was one of the federal deals given to all sheriffs, and Sheriff Arpaio enforced it too aggressively and it was taken away. Another one is the 49 code for DOT (Dept. of Transportation). We don't have anybody in our agency right now that enforces federal DOT. The State Police do. Other counties do. Ada County has federal DOT officers. So there are some federal laws that State government can enforce, but the majority of them they cannot."
The last question of the evening referred to the use of drug-sniffing dogs and the questioner's evident feeling that the current method and frequency with which the sheriff's department uses the dogs is overly invasive. Ryan Zollman made a strong series of statements about enforcing drug laws. He ended with, "Will we continue to use the dogs in such a manner? Absolutely; that's what we've got them for." This brought the only round of applause of the night from the audience. The other sheriff candidates supported Zollman's view. [LINK.]
The sheriffs also work with the Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security; Idaho state records lists their phone number of 422-3040.

The Boise Guardian was critical of Zollman's handling of the Yantis case. Their recent column Sharing Facts Is No Rush To Judgment noted "Keeping facts from the citizens (and media) only leads to speculation, rumors, and anger."
