Syrian Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo, the head of the Syriac Catholic archieparchy in north-eatsren Syria, had strong words in response to Secretary of State John Kerry yesterday.

Archbishop Hindo, referring to Kerry's remarks, stated "the proclamation of genocide is accomplished by pointing the spotlight on Daesh and censoring all the complicity and historical and political processes that led to the creation of the jihadist monster, since the war waged in Afghanistan against the Soviets by supporting armed Islamist groups. One wants to erase all the strange factors that led to the sudden and abnormal emergence of Daesh. While only until recently, there was even Turkish and Saudi pressure - US allied Countries - so that jihadists of al-Nusra Front would take their distance from al Qaida network, in order to be classified and maybe even helped by the West as 'moderate rebels ...' "

The Bishop also said that "Powerful circles in the US fear" the increasing prestige of Russia among the Syrian people, "so now they play the card of protecting Christians."

This is not the first time Bishop Hindo has exposed U.S. complicity in the creation of ISIS. Last November 2015, we reported Catholic Archbishop Condemns CIA Supporting al-Qaeda in Syria, Tells U.S. To Stop Interfering In His Country.

At that time, Archbishop Hindo issued a strongly-worded denunciation of the United States propaganda and dangerous meddling into his nation.

Hindo said that the U.S. 'western military' should stop interfering in his country and stop supporting al-Qaeda. The 74-year-old added that it's not their place to oust Assad. "The Syrians will decide if and when Assad has to go away, and not the Daesh (ISIS) or the West," he said.

The prelate condemned "Western propaganda," asking "What does it mean, (that) al-Qaeda is now a US ally, just because in Syria it has a different name? But do they really despise our intelligence and our memory?"

Hindo is not the first Syrian Bishop to criticize the U.S. meddling in Syria. In October 2015, Melkite Greek Catholic archbishop Jean-Clement Jeanbart of Aleppo, Syria, said that Russian military intervention in Syria is "a source of hope" for Christians in the region, that it "serves the Christian cause," has "renewed the confidence among Christians in Syria," and that "Putin is solving a problem."

In 2013, The highest-ranking Catholic Clergyman in Syria condemned the lies and hypocrisy of the United States and other Western nations, saying they "bear responsibility for what is happening in Syria." Primate and Patriarch of the Syriac Catholic Church Ignatius Joseph III Younan made the remarks in an interview with a Catholic Newspaper. He said Western nations encouraged conflict in the Mideast "in the name of the so-called awakening of people, of democracy," adding that "the so-called Western democracy" cannot be exported to countries that still look at religion as a base for ruling their regimes or political life." he added that the events in Syria were the result of Western nations carrying out a geopolitical strategy "to split Syria and other countries" in the Middle East. "It's not a question of promoting democracy or pluralism as the West wants us to understand of its policies. This is a lie, this is hypocrisy," he said.

Earlier in 2015, an international group of Catholic Bishops traveled to Gaza. The Vatican Rep. recounted the horrors Of Gaza, describing "the level of destruction was unprecedented; Palestinians Forced To Sleep In Rubble, Children Dying of Hypothermia". The Bishops condemned the "appalling scenes of destruction, shocking scandal, a man-made disaster".

Referring to it as a "Terrible Destruction" and Shocking Scandal," the Bishops said that the Israeli settlements were "Illegal Under International Law" and "Simply Unjust". They added that "Political leaders must defend the human dignity of the people in Gaza."

During the visit, high school students in Gaza cried out to the Vatican representative, pleading "We are not animals! We are humans! All the world has to see what's happening to Gaza!"

Catholic Bishops have also condemned the "Israeli occupation" and mistreatment of Palestinians, telling Jews that the "use of scripture to wrongly justify injustices is not acceptable." [Funny you didn't hear a peep about ANY of this in the corporate Jew-owned media, right? ASIA/SYRIA - Syrian Catholic Bishop: the declaration of the USA on the "genocide of Christians" is "an instrumental geopolitics operation"

Hassaké - The path that led the US administration to recognizing the violence perpetrated by the Islamic State on Christians as "genocide", is "a geopolitical operation" that "exploits the category of genocide for their own interests". This is how Syrian Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo, at the head of the Syriac Catholic archieparchy in Hassaké-Nisibis, comments to Agenzia Fides the statements made yesterday by US Secretary of State John Kerry in response to the mobilization of groups and acronyms that have long urged US policy leadership to apply the definition of "genocide" to the various forms of brutality and oppression consumed by militants of the Islamic Caliphate on Christians and other minority groups.

"In my judgment", Kerry said yesterday, supporting the demands posed by a wide network of organizations and groups, "Daesh is responsible for genocide against groups in areas under its control, including Yezidis, Christians, and Shia Muslims. Daesh is genocidal by self-proclamation, by ideology, and by actions – in what it says, what it believes, and what it does".

According to Archbishop Hindo, who carries out his pastoral work in the most troubled areas of north-eastern Syria, "the proclamation of genocide is accomplished by pointing the spotlight on Daesh and censoring all the complicity and historical and political processes that led to the creation of the jihadist monster, since the war waged in Afghanistan against the Soviets by supporting armed Islamist groups.

According to the Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Hassaké-Nisibis, the "genocide declaration against Christians" by the US Administration is also an attempt to recover, before the increased Russian prestige among the peoples of the Middle East: "the Russian intervention in Syria", said the Archbishop "has increased the authority of Moscow in a large sector of the Middle Eastern peoples, not only among Christians. Powerful circles in the US fear that, so now they play the card of protecting Christians. It seems we have gone back to the nineteenth century when the protection of the Christians in the Middle East was also an instrument of geopolitical operations to increase the influence in the region".According to the Archbishop, interviewed by Agenzia Fides, it is also misleading to present Christians as exclusive or priority victims of the violence of Daesh: "Those fools" noted Mgr. Hindo "kill Shiites, Alawites and also all the Sunnis who do not submit to them. Christians represent a a minimum portion of the deaths of 200 thousand in the Syrian conflict. And I repeat, in some cases Christians are allowed to flee or to pay the fee of submission, while for non-Christians there is only death". .
