The Vatican is holding a conference this week on 'Biological Extinction,' and they have uninvited the public and the press, as we reported earlier today.

Upon closer examination of the document published by the Vatican's 'Pontifical Academy of Sciences' on 'Biological Extinction,' it's revealed that one of the esteemed 'experts' that the alarmist, far-left paper cites is ironically, a rabid humanist and anti-religionist who insists "What's dragging us down is religious faith." What's amazing is not that a scientist would say such a thing, but rather that the Vatican would promote his books instead of burn them.

Frankly this modernist swill is too disgusting for words so without further ado, here it is, straight from the horse's mouth.

First, an excerpt from the Vatican's 'Pontifical Academy of Sciences' on 'Biological Exrinction':

"What does this all mean for biodiversity, and what does biodiversity mean for us? In short, everything. All of our food comes directly or indirectly from higher plants, of which there are an estimated 425,000 species. Tens of thousands of these have been cultivated for food at some time by some people, but at present, 103 of them produce about 90% of our food worldwide, while three kinds of grain, maize, rice, and wheat, produce about 60% of the total. We have detailed knowledge of perhaps only a fifth of the species of plants in the world, and a majority could be gone in nature by the end of the century we entered recently."

"The same can be said for other groups of organisms, on which we depend for many of our medicines, ecosystem services, atmospheric purification, carbon storage, and everything that really makes our lives possible. As eminent Harvard University Professor E.O. Wilson has stated, the extinction of such a major proportion of the life that supports us will probably be the sin for which our descendants will be least likely to forgive us. What can we do about it?"

"Our desire for enhanced consumption grows more rapidly than our population, and Earth cannot sustain it. Nothing less than a reordering of our priorities based on a moral revolution can succeed in maintaining the world in such a way as to resemble the conditions we have enjoyed here."

Now, the 411 on this creepy ghoul... errr.. excuse me this 'eminent professor' Wilson. In 2015 Politico reported on an interview Wilson did with New Scientist Magazine, also linked below. Excerpt:

Famed biologist: Religion 'is dragging us down' and must be eliminated 'for the sake of human progress'

Biologist E. O. Wilson, who is known as the "the father of sociobiology," said recently that the Earth was suffering "the death of a thousand cuts" because of religion.

In the most recent issue of New Scientist, Wilson explained that his next book would look at the future of humans and the Earth.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning biologist warned that people had not yet realized that the “tribal structure" had been destroying the planet by "a thousand cuts," according a partial transcript obtained by the International Business Times.

..."What’s dragging us down is religious faith."

"...So I would say that for the sake of human progress, the best thing we could possibly do would be to diminish, to the point of eliminating, religious faiths."

Wilson, who was raised as a Baptist in Alabama, has said that he 'drifted" away from Christianity, but he doesn’t refer to himself as an atheist.

Wikipedia reports:

Scientific humanism- Wilson coined the phrase scientific humanism as "the only worldview compatible with science's growing knowledge of the real world and the laws of nature". Wilson argued that it is best suited to improve the human condition. In 2003, he was one of the signers of the Humanist Manifesto.

God and religion

In a New Scientist interview published on 21 January 2015, Wilson said that "Religion 'is dragging us down' and must be eliminated 'for the sake of human progress'", and "So I would say that for the sake of human progress, the best thing we could possibly do would be to diminish, to the point of eliminating, religious faiths."

On the question of God, Wilson has described his position as provisional deism and explicitly denied the label of "atheist", preferring "agnostic".

He has explained his faith as a trajectory away from traditional beliefs: "I drifted away from the church, not definitively agnostic or atheistic, just Baptist & Christian no more."Wilson argues that the belief in God and rituals of religion are products of evolution. He argues that they should not be rejected or dismissed, but further investigated by science to better understand their significance to human nature. In his book The Creation, Wilson suggests that scientists ought to "offer the hand of friendship" to religious leaders and build an alliance with them, stating that

Wilson made an appeal to the religious community on the lecture circuit at Midland College, Texas, for example, and that "the appeal received a 'massive reply'", that a covenant had been written and that a "partnership will work to a substantial degree as time goes on".

... Wilson has been part of the international conservation movement, as a consultant to Columbia University's Earth Institute, as a director of the American Museum of Natural History, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund.

Understanding the scale of the extinction crisis has led him to advocate for forest protection, including the "Act to Save America's Forests", first introduced in 1998, until 2008, but never passed., Forests Now Declaration, which calls for new markets-based mechanisms to protect tropical forests. In 2014, Wilson called for setting aside 50% of the earth's surface for other species to thrive in as the only possible strategy to solve the extinction crisis.
