2018 Charlottesville RTTX: Campus Unrest

When: June 11, 2018
Time: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. EST
Where: The University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA

The 2018 Charlottesville RTTX is a one-day event that will include a tabletop exercise and after-action session on preparing participants to respond to a campus emergency. This event will focus on a soft target incident, specifically campus unrest caused by a controversial speaker. This exercise will explore and test the campus resilience and emergency preparedness efforts of the participating colleges and universities through a moderated exercise scenario. More detailed information on the tabletop exercise will be available closer to the event.

Due to the coordination of individuals across an institution during emergency planning, it is recommended that 5-7 senior leaders representing various functions across (i.e. leadership, public safety, student life, and communications) attend from each school.

This event will be at no cost to participants, however participants will be responsible for any travel or accommodation costs.

Registration for the 2018 Charlottesville RTTX is now closed.

The 2018 Charlottesville RTTX invitation and frequently asked questions is now available.
