Prior to the election, a campaign staffer for Mr. Jones told the media that said that Obama is an illegal alien and "we are suffering under the two-party, Jew-party, queer-party system."

Jones filed as a candidate on 12/23/11 and six days later, the Illinois Republican Party issued an official statement titled "Illinois GOP refuses to support Neo-Nazi Congressional candidate":
"Arthur Jones, who has denied the existence of the Holocaust and is an avowed Neo-Nazi, has filed nominating papers in the 3rd Congressional District to run in the 2012 primary as a Republican. Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady issued the following statement:
“The Illinois Republican Party disavows any association with the candidacy of Arthur Jones and ask that all citizens of Illinois do the same. His views and previous statements are repugnant and his candidacy should not and will not be supported in any way by the Illinois Republican Party. Unfortunately, pathetic and ignorant human beings like Arthur Jones still exist - my sympathies are with the members of our Jewish community as well as other communities to which Mr. Jones has directed his hate."
Grabowski, running against Jones at the time, chimed in with agreement: "Making a stand against racism of all kinds in Illinois politics, as well as in all other areas of our lives, is a very important message to pass on to our younger generations..."
Incumbent Congressman Daniel Lipinski is running against Grabowski in the November election. Currently in his fourth term, Lipinski is a Roman Catholic and son of former U.S. Rep "blue dog" Democrat Bill Lipinski. The younger Lipinski is notably the only Democrat in Congress who voted no on Obamacare in 2010.
An insurance salesman by profession, Jones published pictures of a bullet-ridden statue of the Virgin Mary on his website and explained

This deliberate terrorist attack on a Christian Church symbolizes the extreme hatred of anti-Christ Israel for Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother. The horrible truth is that Israel has for many years carried out a tremendous campaign of destruction against Christian churches, schools, and even hospitals in the Holy Land.
