HON. DR. RON PAUL: Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we don't have that in place. It will be a little bit better now with the Democrats now in charge of oversight. But you know, for top level policy there's not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isn't going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on.

Reason: The position of the Student Scholars is that 9/11 was executed by the U.S. government. Do you agree or disagree with that?
Paul: I'd say there's no evidence of that.
Reason: So what did you mean when you told Student Scholars you'd be open to a new 9/11 investigation?
Paul: Well, I think the more we know about what we went on is good. But I don't think there's any evidence of [an inside job] and I don't believe that. The blame goes to bad policy. And a lot of times bad policy is well-motivated. The people who believe in a one world government are well motivated, but they disagree with me.

Ron Paul says 9/11 was ineptness and NOT "an Inside Job"
Steve Gill: Do you think the American government, the U.S. government, had anything to do with bringing those towers down either directly or allowing it to happen?
Ron Paul: I think indirectly out of ineptness rather than participating in it, planning it or allowing it to happen. I see it's ineptness - that's why I think the investigations are always coverup of the inefficiency of government. ....that's why I don't trust the investigations. But you know, the neocons were very explicit even before 9/11 that it would be an advantage if they had a Pearl Harbor type of an event where they could move their foreign policy along and use that as an excuse. That doesn't mean there's evidence that they planned it. You know, I don't think you can go from one step to the other. But if certain events occur, they can make good use of it.
Q. Many of your supporters call themselves '9/11 Truthers'. They believe that the U.S. government was in some way complicit with the 9/11 attacks or covered it up. Are you tonight prepared to either embrace that rhetoric or ask those supporters to abandon it, or divorce themselves from your candidacy?
Q. Sir, would you ask them to cease that rhetoric tonight on your behalf?
Paul: Well it doesn't do me any good, so if they care about me they should, but The only thing I have control over is what I believe and what i say. I can't tell them what to do, so I don't endorse what they say and I don't believe that, so please, could I participate in the current debate rather than talking this out?
A. please do. Please do. Please do. Please do.
Ron Paul on 9/11 Truthers
Glenn Beck says that Ron Paul supporters have threatened his life.
Question: Has a single Ron Paul supporter, or anyone for that matter, been arrested for these alleged threats against Beck, , or charged with making such threats? if so, what is their name? If not, why not?

Ron Paul addresses root cause of 9/11 on CNN's Anderson Cooper program
Ron Paul: "Al Qaeda was responsible. Several hundred al Qaeda existed at that time and maybe there are still several hundred more.
But that doesnt mean the whole Muslim religion should be indicted that was my complaint. I mean, McVeigh probably was a Christian, and he bombed the Oklahoma Federal Building. But does mean that a Christian church can't be built near there, and Christianity is to blame? I don't like that broad brush. So yes, the violence was committed by al Qaeda and they're bad people and we should do what we can to destroy them, but that doesn't mean that we should destroy the whole concept of the Muslim religion."
Ron Paul on 9/11: Ask the Right Questions and Face the Truth
Paul: "Though it is hard for many to believe, honest studies show that the real motivation behind the September 11 attacks and the vast majority of other instances of suicide terrorism is not that our enemies are bothered by our way of life. Neither is it our religion, or our wealth. Rather, it is primarily occupation."

Ron Paul: 9/11 prompted "glee" in Bush administration
Paul: "Just think of what happened after 9/11. Immediately before there was any assessment there was glee in the administration because now we can invade Iraq,"
Yes, Virginia, Ron Paul is a 9/11 Truther (and a Coddler of Racists)
"...Back in 2009, the Examiner likewise chronicled some of the many, many truther statements by Ron Paul, including repeated statements that the official government story concerning 9/11 was a "cover-up" and that there needs to be an investigation. This timeline, by the way, highlights Ron Paul's usual M.O. -when he is in front of his truther buddies and college students, he is perfectly happy to say that 9/11 was a cover up and there needs to be an investigation. When he's being interviewed by sane people (like Reason Magazine), he says there's "no evidence of an inside job." As his 2008 campaign progressed along and he took interviews with more mainstream conservatives, he started changing his tune and saying he didn't support a 9/11 investigation. In other words, he stopped doing things like this:"...

Ron Paul: The NDAA Codifies Obama's Power Grab
December 26, 2011
"Little by little, in the name of fighting terrorism, our Bill of Rights is being repealed. The 4th amendment has been rendered toothless by the PATRIOT Act. No more can we truly feel secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects when now there is an exception that fits nearly any excuse for our government to search and seize our property. Of course, the vast majority of Americans may say "I'm not a terrorist, so I have no reason to worry." However, innocent people are wrongly accused all the time. The Bill of Rights is there precisely because the founders wanted to set a very high bar for the government to overcome in order to deprive an individual of life or liberty. To lower that bar is to endanger everyone. When the bar is low enough to include political enemies, our descent into totalitarianism is virtually assured."
"The implication is that Rep. Paul is a 9/11 truther -- you'd think, reading that one sentence, that Paul stated or implied the U.S. government either orchestrated or had foreknowledge of the attacks. In fact, Rep. Paul responded to the September 11 attacks by voting to authorize an actual war against its perpetrators; and as anyone who is even passingly familiar with his worldview knows, his controversial opinion is that Islamist terrorists attack the United States partly because they are furious about the quasi-imperial role America plays in their countries. The blow-back theory is itself controversial, but it is obviously different from 9/11 Trutherism."
TAPPER: One of your former close aides recently said that you, quote, engaged in conspiracy theories, including perhaps the 9/11 attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time.- So have you ever expressed in front of anyone-
PAUL: Now, wait, wait, wait, wait. Don't- don't go any further on that. That's complete nonsense.
TAPPER: It's nonsense?
PAUL: Just stop that.
TAPPER: Not true?
PAUL: Yeah, no. I did not-” I never bought into that stuff. I never talked about it.
PAUL: About the conspiracy of Bush - of Bush knowing about this? No, no, come on. Come on. Let's be reasonable.
PAUL: That's just off-the-wall."
Excerpts: [emphasis in bold added by LibertyFight.com:]
"The American People have the right to know the truth and to know the relationship with the Saudis at the time of the Bush administration," declared Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) in a Monday discussion with Ron Paul on the Ron Paul Channel. Jones made the comment in support of his US House of Representatives legislation H.Res. 428 that seeks the declassification of 28 pages redacted from a joint House and Senate Intelligence Committees report regarding the attacks on America on September 11, 2001.
...Jones asserts in the Ron Paul Channel discussion that the national security justification for classifying these pages of the report is bogus, noting that President Barack Obama appears to be preserving the classification just to protect from embarrassment the George W. Bush administration that originally made the redactions. Jones notes that, despite Obama's pledge to 9/11 families that Obama would declassify the 28 pages, the president has kept the pages classified.
Jones, an RPI Advisory Board member, places very high importance on the release of these 28 pages, stating "there will be no hope for America’s future if the American people do not know the truth about a tragedy such as 9/11…"
Paul, who is RPI’s chairman and founder, suggests in the Ron Paul Channel discussion that US government commissions on matters ranging from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to the siege at Ruby Ridge to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City are "mainly designed for covering up rather than getting to the truth." Paul further asserts that, when some truth that could threaten the government's key interests or would embarrass the government may come to light from an investigation, efforts are often undertaken to hide the information. This is occurring, Paul continues, with the US Central Intelligence Agency's ongoing revising and redacting of the still unreleased Senate Intelligence Committee report on torture."
